William Brown Winn^{[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18]} was the son of William Alexander Winn and Sophronia Cheatham Winn of Maury Co., Tennessee, United States. He married Nancy Jane Foster on 16 Dec 1874 in Maury Co, Tennessee, United States.^[19]

In 1882, William and "Nannie" moved to an area near Forreston, Ellis, Texas, where he farmed a number of years and later moved near Venus, Johnson, Texas, United States.^[22]

William died at the home of his youngest daughter, Flora G Winn Prescott in Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas, 27 Sep 1938,^[23][24] and was buried next to his wife, Nancy Jane Foster in Forreston Cemetery, Forreston, Ellis, Texas, United States, 28 Sep 1938.^[25]
