DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

It looks like the recent merge deleted the entire Biography, Sources, references tag and the defining "rufname," Christoffel, that differentiates this man from his brother. Please take a look at the changes tab. It seems like a lot of helpful data may have inadvertantly been deleted.

Wintermute-480 and Wintemute-17 appear to represent the same person because: They have almost the same birthdates and the same death date. I am confident they are the same person

This is the story as your source tells it. We will look for much more evidence of all of these facts.

Okay - I think your source is the problem. If you try to put it in order with kids you just get a mess, Let's try to find a better source. There are actual documents mentioned in the source you have that may help. I do not think the book is any help either from what I can tell.

I see that we had already found that source. If you simply copy the source onto the profiles of the immediate family members when you change their profiles, then the Rangers can tell which information you are using.

Mary DECKER

and Mary WINDECKER are the same person

Wintemute-17 and Wintermute-8 appear to represent the same person because: same info, "Johan" or John is the preceder to the name Christoffel, not the first name of another person

Note re: name:

Even though Johan or Johannes is typically not actually a name but precedes the first name in German families, this person has listed as his actual name John Johannes in the sources on this profile. Please do not change this without a source documenting the change.
