Elisabeth (Wittmann) Dumler was a Volga German.

Katharina Elisabeth Wittmann is a descendant of original Grimm settler Martin Wittmann. ^[1]

She was born 12 July 1892 in Grimm, Russia, to parents Georg Jakob Wittmann and Anna Katharina (Loeffler) Wittmann. ^[2]

Katharina Elisabeth married Christian Jakob Dumler and the couple had three children:^[2]

• Maria Dumler Erdmann, born 07 August 1911
• Lydia Dumler, 29 August 1913, died 1970
• Anna Dumler, 16 August 1915, died 1923

Christian Dumler was conscripted into the Russian Army and died as a soldier during World War I in 1917.^[2]

On 28 August 1941, Josef Stalin issued a deportation order concerning the deportation and exile of the Volga Germans. ^[3] Six days later 03 September 1941, Katharina Elisabeth was exiled to Eastern Russia on 03 September 1941.^[3] She was eventually settled in Sulemka, Krasnoyarsk Krai, where she later died on 15 September 1981.^[2]
