CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Wayne T. Wolford, 68, 611 3rd Ave. N., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Osthus Funeral Home with the Rev. Alvern Kinrade, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Visitation is to be after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Wolford died Monday morning shortly after being admitted to a Mason City hospital. He had been in ill health about three years. Wayne Trimble Wolford was born 18 Oct 1904, in Grundy County, the son of Charles and Mollie (Trimble) Wolford. He received his education in Iowa Falls and Garner schools and on 19 May 1928, was married to Mildred Hickok in Garner. They farmed in the Clear Lake area until retirement in 1967. In July 1971, they moved to Clear Lake. They had both been cared for at Ritter’s Oakwood Manor the last six weeks. Mr. Wolford is survived by two brothers, Lester Wolford, Williams; Paul, Britt; three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Violet) Harris, Grants, NM; Mrs. Charlotte Coleman, Inglewood, CA; and Mrs. Nels (Margaret) Cushman, Newberry, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Wolford was a member of the United Methodist Church and sang in its choir for 30 years. Pallbearers selected include Ed Lincicum, Fred Banks, Glenn Westover, Earl Hyde, Stanley Brue and Charles Prestholt. Mrs. Harry Mason will be the organist and Mrs. Don Kacer, the soloist.
