Biography

Frederick was born in 1878. He is the son of Michael Wolford and Mary Metcalf and was a perfectionist. Marion was first married to Lucy Kinsgsbury and had a son Eldred. She died. He married his married his second wife Rose Miller and they moved to Canada in August 1900 or 1906. They lived there until June 1922. and then went back to Keosauqua, Van Buren County, Iowa. Marion went to work at the Ford assembly plant in Des Moines, Iowa and worked there until December 1932 before going out to California on December 22, 1932. Things were tough until 1940 when he went to work for the Los Angeles County Health Dept and worked there for 10 years before retiring. Marion had a cancer operation in November 1948.He left the Methodist Church to join the Four Square church. He credited his faith with healing his cancer. He enjoyed playing checkers. He died and is buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Los Angeles County, California.
