Nancy was born about 1794 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of William Womack and Lucy Womack.
She married Jonathan Eaves on 10 October 1809 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. The bondsman for the marriage was Abraham Womack; probably Nancy's uncle, brother of her mother Lucinda.[1][2] Together they had the following children:
Jonathan and Nancy left North Carolina shortly after the birth of their first child Benjamin in August 1810. They were in Franklin County, Tennessee by 1811. According to the obituary of their son, Judge William Eaves, they left Tennessee for Alabama not long after his birth in 1815. When he was 19 years old, about 1834, they moved to Union County, Illinois.
She passed away after 1855 in Union County, Illinois.

1810 census gives age as 16-25, born 1785-1794.
1840 census gives age as 40-50, born 1791-1800.
1850 census gives age as 56, born 1794.
1855 census gives age as 60-70, born 1785-1795.
Death
No death record or burial site has been found. Nancy is last located in records 3 July 1855 on the Illinois State Census. She died after that date and before 1860.

Notes: Jonathan and Nancy have not been located in 1820 or 1830. According to birth locations of children and other information they were in Franklin or White County, Tennessee from about 1811 to about 1816. They moved to Alabama about 1816 and from there to Illinois in 1834.
Notes: Jonathan and Nancy in Union County. In their household is daughter Susannah; sons Jonathan, Andrew J. and Jesse. (Be careful If you are using the image on ancestry.com. It is extremely faint. Their index omits the female age 40-50 but it is there if you examine the image closely.)
Notes: Nancy is living a few doors away from son Jonathan. In her household is a female under age 10. Not known if this is a servant or a granddaughter.
