Edith COOK (née BUTLER; daughter of Thomas BUTLER; widow of Joseph COOK) (1808 - 17 March 1877, near Canal Lewisville, Coshocton County, Ohio: interment at Pioneer Cemetery, Coshocton County, Ohio), 12 March 1837;
Nehemiah WOOD, Jr and Eva RUFFNER moved from Charleston, Kanawha County, (West) Virginia between 1804 and 1807 with Noah b: Aug 1, 1800; Harrison b: Sept 7, 1803 and William Maure b: August 7, 1804. Nehemiah was the son of Nehemiah WOOD and Abigail GRIGSBY. Eva was the daughter of Joseph RUFFNER and Ann HIESTAND. Our family shows a son Andrew G. WOOD who married Mary LEE January 16, 1822 in Gallia County, Ohio. Mary died in 1836 in Roscoe, Jackson Township, Coshocton County, Ohio. Andrew G. then married Edith BUTLER daughter of Thomas BUTLER March 12, 1837 in Coshocton County, Ohio. Andrew G. worked on the Ohio Canal. At least one of Andrew G and Mary's children was born in Gallia County: Bethsama b: 1827 - William; Mary E. b: Abt 1829 and Sarah A.E. b: 1832 in Coshocton County, Ohio are the others. If Nehemiah WOOD and Eva RUFFNER were not the parents of Andrew G. - who were? Obit in Coshocton newspaper says Noah is brother to Andrew G. and Noah was the son of Nehemiah Wood.
