Biography

Zephaniah Woolsey was born November 11th, 1783, in Washington County, TN. He died December 16th, 1854, in Clinton County, Kentucky.

Marriages

He first married Susanna Baxter on December 25th, 1809, in Cumberland County, Kentucky.

His second marriage was to Anna Crouch, July 11, 1811, in Greene County, TN. Anna was born November 24, 1793 and died on December 31st, 1845.

Military

Zephaniah was in the War of 1812. He was a private soldier in Capt. Cross' company and served under Gen. William Henry Harrison. [1] [2]

Agnes Woolsey, born about 1814 and died 1864.She married John Crouch.
John C Woolsey, born about 1819. He married Nancy Lighton February 16th, 1844, in Roane County, TN, She was born about 1818, in KY.
Rev. Isaac Gray Woolsey, born October 14th, 1828, Cumberland, Clinton, KY. Isaac died September 11th, 1902, in Fayette Woolsey, Georgia. [3]He was married first to Arvanzenia Frances Hutcheson, born August 01, 1834 and died June 23rd, 1915. Married second to Emeline Clemanza Reagan February 29th, 1852, Fentress County, TN, Emeline was born in Fentress County, and died February 1st, 1862.


Moved to Kentucky

Zephaniah and Anna moved after John was born in 1820's.
