Memories: 1
Enter a personal reminiscence or story.
Jincy was the grandmother of my Grandma Marie (Marie Walker Cavalli). Grandma told me once how her grandmother told her stories of life when she was a young girl, during the Civil War. How the girls had to work in the fields because the men and boys all went off to war.

Before he passed a few years ago, my Grandpa Al told me a few things he remembered about her. She was still alive for the first few years of his marriage to Grandma Marie. He remembered her as a very proper but eccentric lady. Marie and Al took her to a movie once, and she was appalled to see a scene of women in bathing suits and insisted on leaving because of it. Grandpa said she called all food "taters" and called cars "boxes".
