Notes
Interesting Family Story: In visiting a cousin of my father's, Arthur Edward Hollingworth, I learned the story of the Bible held by Issac Wright during the Revolutionary War. Issac, a Quaker, was disowned by the Church, when he became a soldier.....a fact that is noted in the Quaker papers. As the story goes, he had a deerskin cover on the Bible and kept in his jacket over his heart. During the war, he was shot and the bullet penetrated the Bible, but Issac was not injured. The Bible was held by two sisters in Kokomo for a long time and is probably still in existence within the family.
