Biography

Permelia Wright was born in Kentucky in June of 1805. She married Augustine Foster in Harrison County, Kentucky on March 1, 1825. Augustine and Permelia left Kentucky for Marion County, Indiana in 1835 and lived there a few years before returning to Kentucky. They moved to Sangamon County, Illinois in 1843. They had five children who lived to adulthood (James T., Mary, Margaret, Sarah, Samuel T. and Joel). Permelia died in Logan County, Illinois on November 20, 1885.
