Biography

In 1860 he and his parents, two brothers, and his father's paternal grandmother lived on a farm in Pike Township, Coshocton County, OH.

In 1870 he and his parents and six siblings lived on a farm in Fallsbury Township, Licking County, OH. He and Wilson worked on the farm.

In 1880 he and his parents and eight of his siblings lived there on the farm. He and Wilson worked as farm laborers.

In 1900 he and his wife and their three children lived in a house they were renting at 744 Pine Street in Coshocton, OH. He worked as a jeweler.

In 1910 he and Viola and their two youngest children lived in a place they were renting at 849 San Julian Street in Los Angeles, CA. He worked as a watchmaker in a jewelry store.

In 1920 he and his wife lived in a house they owned, mortgage free, at 1736 Garfield Place in Los Angeles. He worked as a watchmaker in a jeweler's shop. Their daughter Mary Jane and her husband and their son were renting part of the house from them. Clifton also worked as a watchmaker in a jeweler's shop.

In 1930 he and his wife lived in a house they owned at 14617 Van Buren Street (now Avenue?) in Los Angeles. Their home was valued at $6000, and they had a radio. Clifton, Mary, and Gilbert lived next door.
