Little is known of Mary Wright, other than that she was a local woman most-likely from the same village (Melbourn) in Cambridgeshire as the Marvel family.
Mary was not part of the prominent Wright family from Kelvedon Hall, Essex, and no direct genealogical link has been found to the less-celebrated Wright family of Coney Weston in Suffolk (about 20 miles NE of Melbourn).
