On his Civil War cards from the National Archives Alfred Yancey's name is always A. Yancey. "He was enrolled at Moscow, Fayette Co., TN by B. H. Holland in Co. K, 38th Tennessee Infantry, CSA on 4 Mar 1862. He was reported absent and at a Hospital in Dalton after 1 May 1862. He died at the Dalton Hospital 14 May 1862."
He doesn't have a Find A Grave memorial but his mother, Elizabeth, does have one. [1]
