James YATES was born about 1815 in Virginia and died on 15 June 1876 in Paint Creek, Floyd County, Kentucky.[1] He was the son of Valentine Yates and Susannah Gunnells. He was buried in Yates Family Homestead Cemetery in Beaver, Floyd County, Kentucky.[2]
