Nathan, I left the message hoping someone might see it eventually. Sorry that i can't help you. The trail of my Yates line into Virginia is only genetic, so far. Quakers were the best, with their records, which makes me doubt that my Yates ancestors were Quaker. Conflating is what people do when a trail runs cold. There were more people back then than surviving records of people, I'm afraid.

Hi John, thanks for the feedback. Although I've come across Yates in my research areas I don't have any known relation to these Yates and don't know any such Yates to test. I was actually looking for the ancestry of my ancestor Mrs Thomas Deaver-174 Tredway; sourcing on her maiden name actually being Deaver is lacking, I've found parents in trees for her that seem to conflate Mrs. Ann Deaver-467 Yates with Mrs. Tredway, who are not the same.

Do you have any information or sources on either of these Ann Deavers? What religion? Thomas Treadway/Tredway was a Quaker.
