Biography

Susannah was born in North Carolina in 1761.[1]

She married John McCaslin and the family likely had nine children.John married Susannah Younger and their first child was named Younger McCaslin.[1] The family migrated first to Tennessee, and then to Illinois.

The migration pattern of John and Susannah closely mirrors that of many of the children to include daughter Rebecca and son Younger.

Susannah and her family can be found living in:

1810: Randolph County, North Carolina (census)[2]
1820: Franklin, Williamson, Tennessee (census)[3]
1830: Williamson, Tennessee (census)[4]

After her death, her widowed husband moved to Illinois as did many of her children:

1840: Bond County, Illinois (census)[5]
