Hi Amanda, I may have found a possible death record for a profile you entered several years ago, Della Phelps-1574. I have been adding references to unsourced New York and this one may have the wrong given name. The death record I found is for an Adelia Phelps, same day death as Della, who apparently died at birth. I not experienced enough to understand the source you used. Could you see if the name Della should possibly be Adelia using the profile as it exist?. They gave an younger sister the middle name of Adelia which makes me lean to this version. Any opinions?

"New York, State Death Index, 1880-1956", database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QG2W-NFRL : 20 October 2019), Adelia E Phelps, 1914.

I just realized I posted the following on a page you manage and not your profile. My apologies.

I am attempting to determine how we share 25.5cM, 1,927 SNPs on Chr20 Segment start: 52,739,863 Segment end: 60,439,930

16.7cM of that same segment is shared with Amanda Lowery Scarborough (A686341) ... see: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Woodman-43 for details. He’s the Most Recent Common Ancestor for you and I.

The MRCA with Amanda and I is Ferdinand Pippin. So our DNA connection has me puzzled.

If you have questions about Scruggs, just ask. There is our on line data base; and, I have access to another Scruggs data base.

Amanda are you related to the Kennedys some way? You have done an awful about of work on them.

My maternal great grand mother was Francis Hulda Beauchamp Phillips. b. 1836 in Georgia, d. 1919 in Daingerfield, Tx

It is documented; you can just click around.

I think that John Scruggs is a son of John Scruggs and Frances Walton. That John Scruggs is a son of William Scruggs. John being a son of William is by the property in deeds - see the notes in the data base linked to.

It is, of course, my opinion. Which may, or may not, be correct.

"Waltons of Old Virginia " by Wilmer kerns - I downloaded for free from somewhere; I do not recall where.

Hi Amanda

Re Laura (Black) Morehead (Black-1741)

I did not get a response from Laurie, but some profiles were then made open and orphaned by WikiTree after I made an unresponsive PM report. Not the path I wanted to take, but was left with no other option.
