Congratulations in getting back before 1700! Since you are now back in the time period where many people can be descended from those ancestors, we need more details in your source area. As collaborative genealogists, we need to tell each other our sources so that we can work together to assess the relative reliability of the source and the evidence it contains. Hello Amy

I'm a FLOOD in Australia, descended from Floods from Co Galway in Ireland. I always have a look at the Flood entries as they come up to see if there's any connection. Your family goes way back to 1600's well done. Would you have any idea if they were ever from Ireland?

as far as I've gone so far - no. At the same time, I won't be surprised if Im ever able to make a connection to the Flood who emigrated to America before 1674 (the father of Joseph Flood (Flood-2041)

Hi Teresa

I've sent you a private message about working with you on sourcing. Did you receive it?

I don't thinks so - can't find anyway. I'm not an accountant but tax season is a very busy time for me because I assist a number of elderly clients/relatives. I'm finally getting my head above water again.

What did the message say?

I'll try sending it again :)

Hello Teresa,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz! Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

To find a project that may fit your research interests and provide opportunities to collaborate and contribute to our global tree, please use the Pre-1700 Projects list.

Please refer to the new recommended sources for citing Pre-1700’s sources. when working on profiles of that time period.

For questions, just ask.

Hi

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As we always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

Hello, just a word (late) to congratulate you on the contributions you made during the month of November. Whatever the quantity, they are all important.

Your work is appreciated.

Thanks

Guy Constantineau

Hi Teresa,

One more comment about John Gee: I misspoke about the baptism info. I do see it. The problem is we have no idea whether this is the John Gee that married Hazelelponi Willix. It very well may be, but we just don't have information to support it.

UPDATE: In looking at some public stories on Ancestry, I find a John and Mary Gee who lived in New York, but it appears their children were born between 1676 and 1681, and none were John. From what I'm reading (and no idea whether it is truly accurate), that John was born about 1635 in England, and died in 1702 in NY

Dear Teresa,

I think I have fixed Rawlings-55 who is now an orphan on Wikitree.

Hi Teresa,

Hannah Coffin and Hannah Unknown's profiles should be merged. That is how to fix the issue. I set them as Unmerged Match, but I'd rather not initiate the merge because I'd rather complete the merge and ensure it goes into the right final profile. Are you comfortable proposing it? Sharon

Hi Teresa,

Thank you for commenting on John Gee. Before you add someone new, what is the source of the information that shows which John Gee married Hazelponi Willix? Is is a good quality source? Looking at he and Hazelponi's birthdates, you are likely correct, but it would be better if we had a quality source to rely on. Thank you, Sharon

I think you are correct re some of Judith Bigod's children. However, under current rules, I am not allowed to make any changes to this profile.
