Hi Lisa,

Greg Lavoie, Dave Rutherford and I have put a lot of work into restructuring the Canada Project. Have a look at the new project page.

You'll see that we've changed the project name to the Canada Project and the badge will be changed shortly. We've done this in order to provide lots of ways for people to contribute to Canadian Profiles. We've also moved towards a team approach with top level teams being lead by Project Coordinators and sub-teams being lead by Team Leaders.

Would you like to continue in the Canada Project, and if so, which team(s) would you like to be on?

Let me know if you have any questions. Once I hear back from you I'll add you to the Google group and get you set up in your team(s).

Not sure how they can be merged but it looks like they're the same.

Hi Lisa, this looks good now, you seem to have it well-straightened out now, and with a good merge proposal on the father

Hi Lisa, close, but not me :)

The name is surprisingly fairly common, but my branch is an obscure German immigrant one from ~1850s Indiana.

You will probably find that your Steven Mix is from the much more common English descendants of Thomas Mix, a well-known Puritan immigrant to Connecticut Colony in the 1600s. His descendant lineage accounts for nearly every Mix I have ever found in the U.S. His family is now pretty well built up on WikiTree.

There was a famous Steve Mix who played for the 76ers in the 1970s who is also not me :)

After his pro career he became a sports broadcaster in Philly. I have not yet been able to find his tree, but I have tried. Not in the past few years, though, so maybe he is online in a tree now.

Hi Lisa! (my fellow obsession-ite!) ;-)

I ran across your Wheeler family when I was doing the research on Vice President William Almon Wheeler. I don't know if you have run across this invaluable resource, but I wanted to give you a link for The Genealogical and Encyclopedic History of the Wheeler Family in America, by A.G. Wheeler. So far, I haven't found any inaccuracies, so you might find it helpful in your research.

All my best! - Alison ;-)

I have a line of the Wheelers in my part of the tree. I was asked by someone with another line in her tree to see if we could work together (she gave me what info she had) and knows of another person in with one also. I am working on seeing if any of these branches match up, as well as trying to get all the Wheelers properly listed and profiles cleaned up.

My plans are to work mostly on the Wheelers right now and the only additional orphaned profiles I will be taking on are the ones attached to the Wheelers that I have.

Thank you for the advice and suggestions Becky and Maggie, I welcome help and advice whenever I can get it and am appreciative.

Are you doing a One Name Study ? Or do you plan to merges all the extras and improve the profiles ?

Please let us know your plans and THANKS for improving the profiles . You have 4057 profiles so please improve these Wheelings before you adopt more (-:

I do this all the time ; still working on the ones in my watchlist .

Hello Lisa, I have read on the Roll of Honor page that you are interested in information on POWs. My Great Uncle Louis E. Moore (Moore-17354) was a POW at Oflag-64 in Szubin Poland and at Stalag III-A in Lukenwalde GE from 1944 to 1945. He was a Lieutenant in the 1st Armored Division and was captured in June 1944 in Italy. This is the extent of the information I have on him and if you have any resources I might be able to look at I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you. Bryan Moore.

Hi, Lisa I looked at the book "Ezra Thompson Clark's Ancestor and Descendants" 2nd Edition published 1995 which is available at https://familysearch.org/, The names Mary Hyanno and William Cornwell are not even in the index. Did you read the article in the "Middler" linked to on Wm Cornwell's profile disproving the Indian Princess story? Agree that Bull is not 2nd wife's LNAB, looks like this got attached during a merge. On my list to revisit and reedit. Thanks. Dan
