Born in Philadelphia, MS, where he went to kindergarten & through 1/2 of the fifth grade. He went to school for primer & first grade in Coldwater MS. Back to school in Philadelphia for second through 1/2 fifth grade. He moved to Jackson, MS in 1949 with his parents where he finished fifth & sixth grade @ Galloway Memorial Elementary School. Three years @ Bailey Junior High School & 3 more years @ Central High School where he graduated in 1956. Worked part time during high school for H. L. Green as stock boy. BS degree in Math from Millsaps College in 1961. Worked part time for the City of Jackson, MS in their Data Processing Dept. while attending Millsaps College. He worked at Knox Glass in their Data Processing Dept. after finishing @ Millsaps. While attending Millsaps, he joined the MS Army National Guard as a private clerk typist. He later transferred to the MS Air National Guard where he he retired after 21 years as Data Systems & Statistical Officer attaining the rank of Lt. Col. After Knox, he was Asst. Data Processing Supervisor for the MS State Welfare Department. He was then recruited to teach Data Processing & Computers @ Hinds Junior College. Not only did he teach a full curriculum, but also completely automated the Business Office & Registrar's Office, along with installing a new computer system. During the summers he attended MS State University where he obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science. Before he left Hinds, he had already started a graduate degree in Education @ University of Southern MS. While employed @ Litton (Ingalls Shipbuilding Division) in Gautier, MS, he taught a night course on Data Processing & Computers @ Gulf Coast Community College.

My husbands family (Moore) came from Kentucky. His great grandmother was Margaret Chrisler Moore. Her husband was George H. Moore. they were original pioneer settlers of Bullitt Co. KY

I haven't heard from G2G whether I have been accepted into the civil war project or the French project. How long does it take to be accepted or rejected & will I be notified???

Odus or O J I assume was born at home in neshoba county, he and his father mother and wife are buried in Hope Cemetery in the Hope Community right beside Hope Baptist Church. I'm 53yo and the oldest child of Odus first born O J Jr, I was born in Ft Sill Ok while daddy was still in the army.....Odus and Irma Barrett Sharpe both went to Zephyr school and my dad has a school days group picture taken very early 1920's, please don't hesitate to ask me for more info.....the picture of Loca Del sure reminds me of the Sharp family side
