Our immigrant, Ludwig Miller was named by descendants of George Craft, when they informed later writers of the Fayette Co. PA histories. The informants told that Ludwig Miller and George Craft (born 1727) were two of the three "cousins" that emigrated from Germany. The third cousin was ___ Grable, but the informant must not have been able to recall the first name. They first settled around Antietam, MD and then came to Fayette Co. in 1770.
George Craft was married to Elizabeth Grable in Chester County. Their tombstone dates are documented. According to deeds, Ludwig’s wife was Barbara and according to great grandson, James N. Miller, she was a Grable. With the belief that the "cousin" story has some basis in family relationship, it seems the closest logical fulfillment is to call Ludwig’s wife a Grable sister.
Ludwig died near Merrittstown PA, in 1813.

Michael Miller I'd like to explore the legitimacy of the DNA testing which indicates this Michael is not related to Ludwig. The profile links to a discussion of DNA: https://dna-explained.com/2015/12/27/johann-michael-miller-mueller-the-second-1692-1771-brethren-immigrant-52-ancestors-104/ The article describes DNA and has a reply from Art Miller asking about the DNA connection etc.
