He died in Weisenmüller, Russia, in 1902. Weisenmüller, also known as Lugovskaya, Lugovskoi, Lugovskoye, and Lugovskoe, was a daughter colony located on the east side of the Volga River. The Muth family helped settle the new colony on 10 December 1857.
