Hi Vern,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

It looks like the United States Project would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag United_States will help you get updates about activity for that project.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hi Vern, I completed the Noe-670 merge and proposed a merge of the duplicate fathers. Feel free to update the information as needed based on sources you have.

Thanks! Emma

I'm reasonably sure mine came from NC, I know they are in AL, but my branch came to AR. I know the Bullards were from NC. I've seen trees that say Henry came from the MASS group, but I haven't seen evidence. One book I've read an early history of VA said that Henry, Ambrose and another just appeared. Who to believe without real proof. I knw that there was a Thomas Bullard who was Transported to VA.

Well, Davises are a dime a dozen and with John you get change. I don't research them. I'd never get out of the rabbit hole. I was given 2 or 3 wills all swearing to be the will of my John's father. And if you notice, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Davis-28505 is parentless still. I'll probably die not ever knowing for sure who he is. I know he is related to the one if Coffee County, but not a son.

Where were they in AL? Mine are in Lowndes Co in 1850.

Congratulations!

This week we have your last stop on the guided tour. Hopefully, you're feeling like a WikiTree pro! If not, you can always revisit the tour stops via the comment boxes on the right side of your profile.

You've covered a lot of ground the past few weeks. Today, we want to give you just a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.

As always, your questions are welcome!

Shirley

Hi again,

You may have been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now. So, this week we're going to look at how to work with your Watchlist: How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Have questions? We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

You've been here for several weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know us a little better.

You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions as that is the only way we gain knowledge!

Thanks, WikiMessenger Cindy

PS Good work so far! Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on the bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try sometime!

Hello again!

It's time for your next stop on the guided tour!

This week, we'd like to show you How to Join in the Community. There's no shortage of opportunities to get involved through social media, our forum, and projects.

I noticed that you're following several surname tags. Check out our One Name Studies Project to see if any have a project you can join.

Please let us know if you have questions! Just click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!
