My Protestant Ancestors apparently left Holland in 1621 to escape religious persecution and migrated to England. I believe that their surname may have been Jeggens or a variation thereof. So far my research has verifiable Ancestors back as far as 1761 with surname spellings including Jiggens, Jiggins, Jegons, Jegins, Jiggons, Jeggons, etc. I would be very grateful for any help please.

Many of my early ancestors are part of the Puritan Great Migration. Starting with the Mayflower, and many of the other ships that came after her brought many more. Many were Magna Carta gateway ancestors, and early New Netherland Settlers.
