Martin was born about 1796. We have yet to find his baptismal record. It does not seem to be located in either the Szwarcenowo or nearby Skarlin parish records. Though, there is a promising record in nearby Lipinki for a Martinus Zaleski[1], which is not technically the same surname. In these specific records, based on a few other entries for similar families, it seems like the surname Zalewski was spelled multiple ways.
