Eudo la Zouche - E336 - 'Gules bizanty a canton ermine'

E336 - St George's Roll c. 1285 - Edward I

These Arms are also recorded for Eudo in the St George's Roll (c. 1285), as having been borne by knights representing this house at that time. Since this Eudes is shown as d. in 1092, we can safely assume he was not present and that someone else in this line bore them. This does not, in itself, mean that these are not his Arms, in fact the Ermine charge, which represents the Bretagne connection, is closer to him than that of any other of this name, in the line.
