Sometime between 1880 and1900, Tim Allen built a home for his family very near New Blaine, south of Spring Creek Road at the terminus of Little Shoal Creek Lane. His homestead sat atop a hill with a beautiful view of the valley to the north. The attached 1981 picture is how the house looked before it burned circa 1988. The New Blaine volunteer fire department didn't arrive at the house until it was in cinders but they were still comfortable sending a bill. Tim lived in the house until about 1940 when he went to live with his daughter Gracie in Paris. The house then became occupied by Lynn Wood and his family. Lynn was his grandson and Lynn's mother (Virgie)
