Earl's parents were separated. His mother became ill and put him in an orphanage in Louisville, Ky when he was 5. He lived there until he was an adult and then went into the army in WW1. After that he moved to Utah where he met my mother and they were married. He had no information and was told his mother died at childbirth, but we managed to pull her signature from the back. It was enough to prove she didn't die at childbirth. Since then, I have found his family after searching for many years.

This is a picture of my Father, Earl Barnes. It was taken in 1900. My father was orphaned a few years, later, and he was given this picture.
