Additional Evidence in the Case of Angeline Artis No. 138,577

State of Ohio, Champaign Co[unty] - SS

Personally appeared before me AF Vance Judge of the Probate Court of the County and State aforesaid Angeline Artis of the town of Urbana, County of Champaign, and state of Ohio, personally known to me, who being duly sworn according to law, declares that she is the identical Angeline Artis who filed, through W.H. Raynor her attorney, an application for pension as the widowed mother of Joseph Artis who was a private in Co K of the Fifty fourth Regiment of Mass. Vol. Infty. and that at the time of the decease of said Joseph Artis she was and had been, wholly dependent on him for support, from the time of the death of her husband James Artis, and the father of Joseph Artis which occurred in July 27th 1854 -

Further that during and since her widowhood she has been in possession of no property in her own right, That her son, the said
