Delia , Sara, Uel, Tilatha, Odell and Opha.
Odell Hipp is Opha's son.
My mother's cousin suggests the family may be rendering hog fat (lard) and the scoops are for stirring and lifting out fried skins or cracklings. They could also be canning peaches. Her family used a hot lie solution in the big black pot and added peaches to remove the skins, then dipped them out using handmade woven baskets or scoops and rinsed in cold water.
