Biography

Konstantin Petrovich Feoktistov (Константин Петрович Феоктистов) born 7 February 1926 and died 21 November 2009, was a Soviet cosmonaut and an eminent space engineer. Feoktistov also wrote several books on space technology and exploration. The Feoktistov crater on the far side of the Moon is named in his honor.[1]

He was married to Vera V. Kriulina and had four children, Nikolai K. (from first relationship) born in 1953, Andrei K. (from second relationship) born in 1962. Natalya K. born in 1979 and Konstantin K. born in 1982.[2]

He is buried in Troekurov Cemetery, Moscow, Russia.[3]
