Ōmori Kiyotaka was born in Kai, Yamanashi Prefecture on 4 November 1991; his parents are unknown. As a professional sumo wrestler, he was affiliated with the Takadagawa stable from March 2007 onward; his final shikona was Shōbushi Kanji. His highest rank was sandanme 11, which he attained in November 2017. He died from multiple organ failure as a result of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on 13 May 2020.
