My personal opinion from decades of researching genealogy for this period is that no-one knows where the births or deaths occurred. Sadly people do a lot of guessing and then insert it as fact. I have clicked the "uncertain" buttons on this. Other pages for this period are just as bad. It does no-one any credit.
There is such as thing as a place called Kirkoswald It is located in Cumbria in England.

I worry (absent sources) that some previous researcher may have had a burial location or an "of" location, and created a synthetic birthplace?
Anybody have a primary source, or reputable secondary source?
