As per Anderson[1] and Wakefield,[2] Samuel was the son of John Lewis and Alice (Mattocks) Harris, born 18 Jan 1661, most likely in Boston, Massacusetts.
There no records indicating any marriage or children, and, in referring to the children of John Lewis, Anderson said, "There is no evidence that this immigrant [John Lewis] had any grandchildren, or that any of his children married."[3]
