Frances (Harington) Egerton was born in Somerset, England.

Frances was baptised on 11 Jan 1584/85 in the church of St Mary, Cannington, Somerset. She was the daughter of John Harington and Mary Rogers. [1]

In 1598 she received a bequest from her grandmother Lady Joan Rogers and was named in that will as a daughter of John Harington. [2]

On 21 Dec 1606 she married Ralph Egerton at the church of St Mary Magdalen, Richmond, Surrey. [3] They had at least four children:

  • Elizabeth (1609)[4]
  • Jane (1611) [5]
  • Randolph (1618) [6]
  • William (1622) [7]

In 1634, she received a bequest in her mother's will. She was named as Lady Francis Egerton. [8] Lady Francis disputed the will, not being satisfied with her merely pecuniary legacy.
