Birth record for James Dall, born 31 July 1775, baptised 2 August 1775, in Largo, Fife, Scotland, son of Andrew Dall and Janet White.[1] James Dall married Ann Barron before 1814. They had seven children.
It is possible that Ann, James' wife, had a rare congenital abnormality called uterus didelphys where she was born with two uteruses. It is possible to have twins grown in separate wombs and this was seen in India.[2]. It was possible for her not to realise she was pregnant with the second child so Margaret Dall and Christian Dall were born within a month of each other. They were not twins as they were born in separate uteruses. This conclusion is drawn from the fact that the birth dates were given, Kinglassie is a small village and the liklihood of there being two couples with the same name unlikely. This was checked against Scotlandspeople, FamilySearch and extended family.Hylton-692 23:17, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Hylton-692
James died in May 1864 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.[3]
