Some unsourced online trees list this Isaac Haight (Haight-109)’s birth as 28 Sep 1736 in CT. But according to the Geneal. Hist. of the Hoyt, Haight, and Hight Families, the Isaac Haight who was born 28 Sep 1736 in CT was the son of David and Ruth Hoyt, and is a different individual.[2]
The Isaac (Haight-109) of this profile was born in Eastchester NY where his parents Moses and Rachel Haight lived until removing to Dutchess County NY about 1751. Isaac's father Moses Haight held land in Eastchester NY from 1711 until at least 1740-41, and was granted land in Dutchess County NY in 1751. So, it is likely that he moved from Eastchester to Dutchess County about 1751.[1]
Isaac Haight was a farmer and is listed in the 1790 census in Washington, Dutchess Co. NY.[3]
Some unsourced online trees state that Isaac died after 26 Mar 1792 in Dutchess Co., New York, which may indicate that a will or other record of that date exists, but a source is needed.
