Many genealogies list him and his wife as the parents of Johan Liens, however this isn't actually the case, as explained on his profile. As far as I could find, the first time this connection was made, was in a manuscript from 1812. It appears the location of this manuscript isn't currently known, but it was used as a source to publish the genealogy of the family Liens in an edition of De Navorscher from 1894.[1] The fact that it was published in a renowned magazine such as De Navorscher probably led to the assumption that the information was correct and as such it got copied multiple times. It seems that Philippus eventually got mixed up with Joachim Hendricx Liens, who was Johan's actual father, because certain genealogies list him with the patronymic Hendricx, even though there was no mention of a patronymic in De Navorscher. The only thing that gets mentioned in De Navorscher that could lead to contemporary sources is that Philippus supposedly was a state secretary in 1550, but that function didn't exist until 1798.[2]
The fact that there are currently no known contemporary sources which name Philippus or his wife Lucretia van Borssele, combined with the fact that it seems like the first mention of them dates from 1812 and the first mention of them that is still available dates from 1894, it's difficult to say if they even existed at all.
