Biography

Eleanor was baptised in Newland o 16 July 1776 by parents Richard and Elizabeth. The family lived in Coleford. ^[1]

Eleanor married Thomas Davies at Newland, Gloucester on 13 December 1795.^[2]

In 1851, Eleanor was 69 years old and living in Gloucestershire with her husband William (70). He was working as a mine agent.^[3]

Eleanor died aged 79 in 1856 and was buried at Newland. She was noted to be the wife of Thomas Davis and resident at Cinderford. ^[4]

Note

Eleanor Nash is unlikely to be the mother of William Davies Davies-6740. His mother was Eleanor Davis and he was possibly base born.^[5]
