Jane Whitacre was born in 1744 in Makefield, Bucks, Pennsylvania. Jane was the daughter of Robert Whitaker, Sr. and Sarah Tomlinson.

Her father ROBERT WHITAKER was a patriot during the American Revolution; her mother is SARAH TOMLINSON. Their daughter Jane who m. David Stockdale are listed in the patriot file. ^[1]
