Van Deursen-67 and Van Deursen-29 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge. No tree conflicts. Thanks!

I can't tell if this is a brother or a duplicate of Hendrick.

MORE RECENT INFO. The following article proves that a) the immigrant Abraham Pieterszen van Deursen was NOT descended from this branch and also that these supposed van Deursens were actually van Doorns from Utrecht. See William J. Hoffman, "An Armory of American Families of Dutch Descent," in NYGBR 65(1934):62-65.

The parents have been merged down, rather than disconnected to become loose clutter. I am now thinking that we might want to study that 1912 source again, to see if Godrriedus and Maria Hansen really exist.

Because the way the tree is now, two generations of father and son are Jan Van Deursen and Elizabeth. So one of them is probably wrong.

VanDeursen-24 and Van Deursen-29 appear to represent the same person because: Merge into Van_Deursen-29 because the naming convention requires a space between Van and Deursen. Also when completing the merge, detach as parents Godefridus Van Deursen and Maria M. Hansen; correct parents per 1912 genealogy are Jan Van Deursen and Elisabeth Van Heusden. Thank you.

Van Deursen-40 and Van Deursen-29 appear to represent the same person because: This is now the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge. No tree conflicts. You might want to keep the 1527 birth date, because that one is exact. The 1523 is only an about. In any case, I saved the alternate data to the respective bios. Thanks!

Hendrick appears to have been meant to be a grandfather of Pieter Jans Van Deursen, through a son Jan, by the patronymic. But the connection to Pieter as originally built here was completely wrong, off by a century. So I disconneted the impossible relationship.
