Pieternelle du Pre's father fled France for the Netherlands.
St Kruis 6-7-1681 Pieternelleken du Pré vertr.Cadzand dorp[1] Meaning: Pieternelleken du Pré came originally from St Kruis and went to Cadzand village .(6-7-1681) According church records from Zuidzande. It says she was a, J/D, meaning young daughter, from Wingen. So she or her parents came from Wingen, a town in France [2] or from the town Winge in Belgium.[3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Pieternelle by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Pieternelle:
De Pre-19 and Du Pre-17 appear to represent the same person because: Same person -- she was the wife of Marinus Van Aken and the mother of his children born in New York.
I intend to detach Pieternelle from both of the parents to whom she is currently attached.
I find zero basis for identifying Margaret Cromartie as her mother. The source that has been cited for the supposed father, Pre-1, is Clarke's website. He shows the marriage to Cromartie, but he states that there were no children. Cromartie died, and Pre married the second wife, well before Pieternelle was born.
Pre-1 was at least alive when Pieternelle was born, but (1) neither Clarke nor the main real source for him (Riker) lists Pieternelle as one of the children by his second wife and (2) evidence Bea has described here strongly supports an origin for Pieternelle in Belgium. As I noted at Cromartie-1, DeCoursey cited Riker as a basis for giving Pieternelle these parents, but that's not in Riker.
Found some new info ,she came from St. Kruis ...see Bio at least ,Prijntje Rents or Rens as it is written also very often ,was also in this list ,she came from Germany
Asked it because Pieternelle is a real common Dutch name in Zeeland especially ,lots of Pieternelle ,Pieternelleken etc in the archives of Zeeland from that time ,and was she born in Zeeland or in France ?
Found some van Aken baptism records also ,seems the registers were very hard to decifer /read ,some of them got in the archives now with last name van Haken instead of van Aken ,so Pieter van Aken now in the archives as Pieter van Haken ,but mother Claartjen or Clara Coppijns was there ,in the baptism records it now says Pieter van Haken ,father and Clara or Claartjen Coppijns as mother of the kids I could find ,Pieter van Aken and Pieternelleken van Aken (now both in the archives) as van Haken ,still looking for Marinus there ,didn´t hear from the genealogist still ,so started searching again myself :P
Bea, it is stated on this page that Pieternelle was from a Huguenot family. Apparently she was born to French Huguenot parents who were living in Zeeland.
From a last name dictionairy from Zeeland :Depré, Dupré, de Pré, du Pré, de Pree, du Pree, de Prie: PlN (le) Pré wei(de), weiland, beemd. Rom. pendant van van der Meers(ch).
Last name meaning: meadow ,pasture, grassland, paddock in Zeeland (Netherlands) and found that during those years (1600´s) many people from other countries (Belgium,Germany, etc) etc)emigrated to Zeeland for freedom of religion ,de Pree is a pretty common name according the registers .
Are these her real and proven by facts parents ,otherwise maybe she was from Zeeland and had Dutch parents also ?

Steven lets me know when I need to add ppp or remove ppp so profiles don't need to go in an unmerged match status. You can let me know if you see any like this.
De PRE-16 and Du Pre-17 appear to represent the same person because: Du_Pre-17 is the lowest numbered profile for this person for the LNAB that has been identified as the preferred LNAB for her.
Du_Pre-17 has been categorized as NNS, meaning that it is the selected destination profile, and De_PRE-16 has been classified as NN Merge Pending, meaning that it is ready to be merged to the selected profile. Yes, we need to get a Leader to remove the Locked status from De_PRE-16 before the merge can be completed, but the need to get a Leader's attention shouldn't mean that the proposed merge has to wait in "Unmerged Match" status.
