During active service, worked on many aircraft in the inventory, including H model B52 bombers and F4C fighters. Selfishly extended enlistment and spent 2 tours in Vietnam in order to rotate back to the mainland during summer months for easier acclimation and a possible return to college to complete my degree. Separated in July 1969 and went back to CSU for college on accumulated savings, school loans and the GI {Government Issue} Bill, fall of 1969 through spring of 1973.
