Elizabeth Ellen Carter was born on 6 February 1907 probably in Tyldesley, near Leigh, Lancashire, England, the daughter of Daniel Carter and Ellen Shuttleworth. ^[1]

Elizabeth emigrated to the United States with her parents and brother in aboout 1908.^[2]

In 1910 Elizabeth was living in Sunnyside, Carbon, Utah. ^[2]

In 1920 she was living in Martins Ferry Ward 4, Belmont, Ohio. ^[3]

Elizabeth died at the age of 97 on 28 August 2004 in Lutherville Timonium, Baltimore, Maryland, USA.^[4][5]

Elizabeth was probably born in Tydesley, near Leigh (where her older brother was born.) Her birth was registered in Leigh.
