This profile lacks source information. Please add sources that support the facts.
The parents listed for this individual are speculative and may not be based on sound genealogical research. Sources to prove or disprove this ancestry are needed. Please contact the Profile Manager or leave information on the bulletin board. Reyer was imported as son of Everardus van Stoutenburg, who lived 230 years earlier, and so is impossible as a father!! And Reyer was also imported as husband of Elysabeth Wouters de Jongh, but those relationships are turning out to be problematic, and may be a mishmash of wrongly presumed relationships from various trees. Whoa, on the ohter hand Bea, with the van Stoutenburg *father* reattached now, it is obvious that there is a 230 year difference between them.

I already linked that father in the Unverified NOTICE, so there will be no problem finding him again.

So in an obviously wrong case like this, I would go ahead and disconnect it, as you had done in the first place. Sorry about that.

I like to make sure a link to the original connections get preserved, and we have done so here, and your earlier comments also explain the most llikely reason for the bad attachement on import.

But it is clearly nonsensical, as attached. So not worth a lot of more research time to figure out why. Just somebody had their brain on pause when they decided that these should be father and son. :)

Hi Bea, I think the best thing to do is to add the Questionable and the Unverified parents templates.

I will add those to profiles here, and on the children, so that you can get an idea of how they work.

Then copy them from the edit of these bios into your Scratch Pad, for your future use.

It is much better to post such templates, rather than to disconnect any relationships that you suspect are bogus.

The reason is that templates show that the research has been done, and it also leaves the original presumed tree intact, as it is in the various sources and other trees that you find.

The templates also add the profile to categories, which also helps you find the profiles later, as well as flags them for further action.

Disconnects and deletes would then be the last resort.

tracked down ´sources´ of the family here ,and they all lead only to online and all totally different genealogie trees ,so all kids have different parents ,all Reyers have different spouses and never Reyer and Elisabeth are husband and wife and so this whole famliy doesn´t seem to have existed

Seems a total bogus family ,only names from different trees and all different famlies ,pasted together as one ????

Starting from scratch with Reyer, and guess if we are trying to search for possible parents of Rem Jansen van der Beeck ,this is the wrong path , found Rem Jansz as passenger on the ship (see image Rem Jansz) van der Beeck , see profile Vanderbeek-3,and also found some possible other parents see Bio

Searched and found some interesting people ,but ..still no parents for Reyer ,now understand were the idea came from ,because in the van Oldenbarneveldt family there were some man named Reinier or Reyer .

see profile:Van_Oldenbarneveldt-1 this is a man named Gerrit Reyersz van Oldenbarneveldt he is married to profile:Delania van Weede ,Delania van Weede ,her branche can be traced back all the way to the earliest van Stoutenburg owners /builders . In the area there is a flier/beke (Barneveldse Beek) so guess someone thought well , there is a possibilaty Reyer (son of a Reiner/Reyer?) took van der Beke for last name ,but as you can see this is a total different family, also total different area ,so don´t think Reyer van der Beke is related to one of them . Reyer can be detached from this family if you ask me ;)

Everardus van Stoutenburg ,it seems very unlikely Everardus van Stoutenburg was the father of Reyer van der Beke (van de Beek).Everardus was a son of Walter(Wouter) ,who was :´de heer van Amersfoort en schout van Eemland´ and lived in the castle/house´ Stoutenborgh´,this man was born somewhere around 1239 and died in the year 1316. So Everardus is born somewhere between 1259 and 1316 ,Reyer is born in 1533 it says here ,so Everardus for dad is impossible ...

already have seen some Beek(van der Beek ,van der Beeck ,etc,) people passing by when I was doing research for the Schenck family ,and Reyer is for sure a name I´ve seen a lot ,will start looking tomorrow for this one ..

See also this other New Netherland ancestral line, which passed through Bremen, Stadt Bremen, Bremen, Germany

http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Vanderbeek-74

But there is no commonality found yet between the two lines, besides the name. So it may be merely coinicidence.
