Jonathan Jay was born on 01 April 1815 to James and Martha Jay, as recorded by the Mill Creek Quaker Monthly Meeting, Miami County, Ohio.[1]

Jonathan married Ann Jones, daughter of Elisha Jones and Susanna Hollingsworth, in 1833 in Union Township, Miami County, Ohio. Ann died on 9 Jan 1849 at age 37, leaving him a widower.
Records on Ancestry claim that Jonathan married Rachel Tate on 6 Jan 1859, but documentation is needed. The marriage may have been earlier, since other records list two children for Jonathan that were born after the death of his first wife.

Hi, There are inconsistent dates in this profile summary. It says that he married Ann in 1806 before he was born. Even the year of 1813 listed in the Biography is before he was born.
