Birth

Major was born on 6 June 1818 in Monroe County, Tennessee.

Occupation

He was a farmer.[1]

Marriage

Major Kager married Catherine Burson most likely in 1839 when she was 14 years old.[2] Major Kager was exactly 21 years old at the time, the legal minimum age at which he could marry.

Major Morrison passed away in May of 1880, but where he and his wife were buried is uncertain.

DNA

Paternal and maternal relationships are confident based on a triangulated group on MyHeritage consisting of Virginia Winslett, Nina Jaeger, and Russell Cobb, who share a 21.2 cM segment on chromosome 17. The most-recent common ancestors shared by all three are William Morrison and Elizabeth Snider, the 3rd great grandparents of Russell; 4th great grandparents of Virginia, and 5th great grandparents of Nina. Virginia and Nina are 3rd cousins once removed; Virginia and Russell are 4th cousins once removed; and Nina and Russell are 4th cousins twice removed.
