Notes for finding sources -

Parents - William is not shown on the Rodes pedigree in Glover's History of the County of Derby part 2. Only two children are shown for Robert Rodes and Elizabeth Wasse: John and Joice.^[1] If he was a son of this couple, he would probably be born in Derbyshire.

Marriage - his marriage would be before the commencement of the Mirfield registers. But son George was described at burial as "George Rodes alias Syver" so his parents may not have been married. If Syver was the other parent's name, it could have been the father's name and Rodes the mother.

Burial - he is said to have died the year before the Mirfield registers started.
