Caroline Adams was born in 1833, the daughter of Caroline Ormsby (1812-) and Jarvis Adams (1804-1852) in Connecticut, USA.
She married William Mortimer Hall in 1860 at 27. They had three children during their marriage. They lived in Oswego, NY throughout their marriage.[1]

On 6 Jun 1865, they were land owners farming "south past the Fouth Ward of the City of Oswego in the County of Oswego, N.Y.," Their frame home was worth $2,000 in 1865!! Wow, 2023 $37,751. Their birth locations were reversed. Albert was 3 and Jeper was 1.5 years old. Sister-in-Law Mary A Hall, 19, was living in the home and Sarah Smiley, 17, of England was a live-in domestic.[2]
In 1870, the lived in Scriba, Oswego, NY. She, 37, was keeping house and he, 35, was a farmer. The farm was worth $3,500, $82,202 in 2023, and personal property value was $1,200. Hial Hall, 62, was a farmer living with them had real estate value of $600 and personal property of $200. Alley 8, Jessie 6, and Frederick 3 were in the house. Alley and Jessie were attending school. Caroline's birthplace was wrong on this census.[3]
In 1875, they were in election district ward 8 in Oswego. Caroline was 42, William 40, Albert 13, Jesse 11, Leon 7. They stated William was from Jefferson County, NY and was now a boat captain. They were now living in a plank home worth $600.[4]
By 1880, they were living at 22 Bigner St, Oswego, Oswego, NY, USA. Caroline was 46, William 44, Albert 18, Jessie 16, and Leon, 13. William was listed as a Milk Dealer, Albert a Fish Dealer, Jessie and Leon were at school. This census was very thorough in recording the birthplaces of all individuals and their parents. Albert was listed as Insane.[5]
In 1900, they were empty nesters. Carrie was 67 and William was 64. They had been married 40 years. She reported she had given birth to three children and all were living. they were now renting the farm on RR Street. [6]
She died on March 4, 1902, in Oswego, New York, at the age of 69.[7][8]
Her burial spot is not documented in FindAGrave or BillionGraves. Her husband is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Oswego, Oswego, New York, USA.
